Last Day of Planting

Thank heavens, today is the last day of planting. With 3 very large gardens, it takes a few days to get it all done.
For a list of what we are growing this year, you can visit our farm stand website...www.cloverleaffarmstand.com. It gives a complete list of veggies, flowers and fruits that we have planted.

Planting Season Has Begun

It has been a few busy weeks here at Cloverleaf Farm. Tilling up the old gardens, and getting new ones ready for this years planting season. It will be a couple more weeks before we can put anything into the ground, but the greenhouse is full of awaiting plants.
This is always an exciting time here on the farm.

Gardens are Getting Started

Finally, our spring gardens are coming into bloom. It seems like it takes forever due to our long, cold winters.
Soon, it will be planting season. We have started uncovering the perenniel herbs, and raking out last winter's debris. It is so lovely to see green again. The daffodils are in bloom, and the crocus' are coming up. The bearded iris have started on their way to be beautiful.
The only problem. Chickens. This year they seem to take delight in "bathing" in my garden by the back door. I planted a few perenniels there last year, and I was hoping that they would come back. Out of all the gardens they could bathe in, I don't know why they chose this one.
In a couple weeks, we will start tilling the soil for our vegetable and flower gardens. Again this year, we will expand the gardens to include more produce. New this year too, will be cut flowers.
Ah, I can't wait to walk barefoot in the gardens again.

Happy Earth Day

Earth Day is important day on the part of our planet. It was first celebrated 39 years ago in 1970. It was the brain child of U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson.
Earth Day was day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. What about the other 364 days of the year?
We feel Earthy Day should practiced everyday. We here at Cloverleaf Farm use organic methods of gardening because we know that is what is best for us, our customer and most importantly for our planet. We are trying to make a better world for future generations.
We take pride in knowing that we are making a difference, albeit a small difference in our world.

Cloverleaf Farm Herb Gardens

Each year we grow and sell herbs and spices. We use the herbs for making our line of herbal teas, potpourris and spice blends. We also use them ourselves for sipping, or for medicinal use.
Welcome to our Gardens.
